![]() I don't know what kind of sound you are looking for but pre-amp out and buffered speaker line out sound quite different. You most likely can tap off the volume pot but without a schematic thats a guess-to-mation as some companies have the tone circuit after the volume section. I use thomas organ tube amps as power amps for my 1965 Vox tube amp(can you say Deep Purple the Machine Head LP tone Blackmore used a Vox not a Marshall like most people used to think) The thomas organ co built Vox amps in the mid 60s and later mostly SS but some tube. My three Mesa Boogie combos a 79, 83 and 84 all have that from the factory. ![]() It has a pot and a 10 watt resistor tapped off the speaker line out not original mind you but worked fine for over ten years plugging into a rackmount effects unit into another marshall. ![]() I have a 1969 100 watt Marshall Super trem Plexi that puts out 178 watts RMS. ![]()
